The 50 Scariest Movies of All Time?

In an attempt to always stay abreast of what’s happening in the world of horror, a friend of mine recently sent me a Boston.com “Top 50 Scariest Movies of All Time” list.  Now, I’m always a bit reticent when it comes to these types of things.  I mean, lists can be so subjective and polarizing and, sadly, disappointing.

One of the things that immediately grabbed my attention with this list, however, is that I actually agree with the ones I’ve seen.  From the original Dawn of the Dead to 28 Days Later to The Ring, this list is unbelievably juicy.  So, in the spirit of the new year, I’ve decided to consume this list, film by film.

Let’s see if they really are the 50 scariest movies of all time.  Here’s the roll call:
